Surefish established in Dutch Harbor to address the need for quality inspections of seafood being landed in Dutch Harbor, Alaska.  Company establishes certified State of Alaska Drinking Water Laboratory for water testing for fishing vessels.
2009
NSF International acquires Surefish to expand their Food Division to include Seafood.
2016
Relocation and expansion of facilities in Unalaska/Dutch Harbor.
2019
Makushin Bay Resources acquires NSF International Unalaska/Dutch Harbor operations.
2022
Makushin Bay obtains ISO17025 certification
2024
Makushin Bay expands services to include mainland US
